Ansco Shur-shot

Most common of all Ansco box cameras with striped faceplate

Argus AF 35mm  

Argus AF 35mm camera (1937-38). Pop-out focusable (18” to infinity) Argus f4.5 anastigmat lens. Lovely nickel and brushed aluminum accents with Art Deco motif on back.

Argus C3 "Matchmatic"

Renowned "brick" camera, came with clip on meter, two tone painted metal, range finder focus, 50mm coated Cintar f3.5 lens. Heavy and cool looking. c1958-1966

Argus Minca 28

Postwar version of more rare Argus "M". Also made in variants called Camro and Delta 828 for 828 film. 

Argus Model "K"

Seldom seen 35mm camera, built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Daguerre (1939). This VF camera has the body of the "D" model that was never produced and the shutter of the "A" type, with extinction meter. Rare.

Aristotle  c.384-322 BC

Described the phenomenon of the "camera obscura", but Chinese philosopher Mo-Ti (or Mo-Tsu) may have actually been the first to describe a "light collecting" box in the 5th Century BC.
